Prezi Zooming Presentation

I used a PowerPoint presentation I created that introduce Learning Express Library and what the site has to offer learners. I didn't use the whole presentation, but added essential slides to my Prezi Presentation. I think Prezi Presentation adds effects to a presentation that makes it more interesting and eye catching to the audience. I also like that I could add in my PowerPoint presentation slides, but also add sections of text. This adds diversity to the presentation. PowerPoint presentations are a great way to teach, but it can become boring. I think I was a little afraid of Prezi. I was unsure of my presentation. I think it will be a great tool once I get accustomed to using it. I didn't like how my presentation looked embedded. It is much pretty on the Prezi Site.

Get Video

I used Any Video Converter to save a YouTube video to my computer. I found a video on YouTube that suggested using Any Video Converter to convert and save videos to your computer. It also showed how to save and convert the video. I thought this video was appropriate for the assignment since the assignment was to save a video from YouTube. I downloaded the converter to my computer. I was able to save the video to my computer and then post it to TeacherTube. I saved the video as a wmv file.

Having the ability to save YouTube videos and videos from other websites is a very useful tool. I can download videos onto my computer and access them when I do not have internet. I can download learning videos to use with my students, but also teach the students to use the converter to save videos to their own computers.

This is the video I was able to save using Any Video Converter. I also uploaded it to TeacherTube. Click HERE to see the video on YouTube.

Photo Video

I create a video using photos of a science experiment that demonstrates what can happen to teeth over time if they are not properly cared for. The video and experiment could be used in health or school class with elementary school age children.

Video Assignment-Power Point

I used the Power Point I created that introduce the Learning Express Library and how useful it is. I saved each slide as a picture using the snipping tool and a paint program. I then uploaded them into Windows Movie Maker. I added We're Going to Be Friends by The White Stripes. I thought the song was fitting, since Learning Express Library is user friendly and is a good friend to have. Once I completed my project in Windows Movie Maker I saved it as a wmv file to my computer. Check out my VIDEO on YouTube.

Action Buttons-Jeopardy

I used the Jeopardy template to create a Jeopardy game that reviews nouns (person, place, or thing, common/proper, plural/singular, and possessive). The game is an ideal game for first and second grader. It could also be used for a review game for third graders. I based my Jeopardy game on a a Power Point that I found on a free language arts website. The Nouns Power Point is a great teaching and review tool. The Nouns Jeopardy Game is a great way to review and a fun for the students to practice and the teacher to assess students knowledge.

Animation Motion Path

I used my imagination to create a Power Point slide using animation motion pathways. The weather or rather snow has been the topic of discussion everywhere I go. So, I decided to create my slide around the theme of "weather". Creating animation motion pathways will enable me to create better Power Point presentations that will hold the attention of my students. I will also be able to make interactive Power Points using animation motion pathways. I will be able to create presentations that include interactive slides.
